Garage Conversions and Loft Conversions

Garage Conversions

Garage conversions can be a cost-effective way to provide additional living space but care must be taken to ensure adequate foundations and insulation particularly with older properties where garages are predominantly single skin. Additional support can be required where the doorway is being bricked up or additional load being placed on the structure or where the garage is being knocked through to open up the living space. We have also undertaken part conversions where a double garage is converted to a single or the back of the garage is left as an external storage area.

Our team have extensive experience of converting single and double garages for accommodation, raising the roof level, bricking in and running new services or foul water drainage. As with any building project we work strictly to building regulations and are sympathetic to your surroundings and the living environment. You can be sure we will work hard to minimise disruption to your home and ensure the site is left clean and tidy every night.

Loft Conversions

Our loft conversions team can advise on the different options for converting your loft and whether planning permission is required. We can convert modern truss types and undertake all trypes of loft conversion from installing rooflights or Velux Windows to adding dormer windows or converting from hop to gable end right through to raising the roof height.

We can extend or reroute plumbing and electrics, add innovative storage solutions to maximise use of space and include floor sound proofing to minimise noise transferred to the rooms below.
